Study Abroad Exchange Program Information

The College has signed a student exchange agreement with the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at City University of Hong Kong. The university admits exchange students twice a year (one intake each semester). This application is for the Fall Semester beginning in September 2021.

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences consists of the following seven departments:

  • Department of Applied Social Sciences
  • Department of Asian and International Studies
  • Department of Linguistics and Translation
  • Department of English
  • Department of Media and Communication
  • Department of Public Policy
  • Department of Chinese and History

Students of the College who wish to apply for the exchange program must submit the required application materials to the College Office by April 26 for the initial review. Students selected by the College will be nominated to City University of Hong Kong and must complete the university's online application independently.

Exchange Program Details

Host Institution: College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, City University of Hong Kong

Exchange Period: August 30, 2021 – December 18, 2021

Number of Exchange Students: 1–4

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate students in their second year or above.
  • English proficiency requirements (one of the following):
    • TOEFL iBT: 79 or above
    • IELTS: 5.0 or above
    • Achieved the Top Benchmark (頂標) in the English subject of Taiwan's General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) or Advanced Subjects Test (AST).
  • Students must enroll in 12–18 credits at City University of Hong Kong.

  • Statement of purpose / motivation for participating in the exchange program (500–1,000 words)
