In gratitude for Chairman Wu Hsiu-Chi’s donation for the construction of the Hsiu-Chi Building, National Cheng Kung University commissioned a ceramic wall in the building’s courtyard, created by artist Mr. Chu Pang-Hsiung of the Meinong Kiln. The unveiling ceremony was held on December 31, 2001 (Republic of China Year 90).
On that day, Chairman Wu delivered a heartfelt speech. It was a deeply sincere and meaningful address, which is believed to offer valuable guidance and inspiration in personal conduct for future generations of students. The full text of his remarks has also been inscribed on the ceramic wall.
